Privacy policy

We hold people's photographs, letters and recorded voices. This page explains exactly what we store, where, for how long, and how to have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, write to ahmed.alaa02@outlook.com.

What we store

The content you send us to build the gift: photographs, written text, voice recordings, dates, and any names you choose to include.

Your account details: your name, your email address, and a hashed password that we cannot read.

The gift's access password, also hashed. We cannot recover it for you — we can only set a new one.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data or the recipient's, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your photographs or words in our own marketing without asking you first, every time.

We do not put advertising trackers on gift pages. A gift is a private page, not ad inventory.

Cookies

We use two, both strictly necessary: a signed cookie remembering that you entered a gift's password correctly, and a session cookie for signing in to the studio. There is no third-party analytics tracking.

Sealed gifts

Before its reveal date, a gift's content is never sent to the browser at all — it is not hidden on the page, it is absent from it. The same is true of a password-protected gift before the password is entered.

Where it is stored

On our servers, and on an object-storage service for photographs and audio. We keep backups so that we can restore what is lost.

Deletion reaches the backups too, but it can take up to thirty days for the backup cycle to turn over completely.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction to it, or its complete deletion — one message to ahmed.alaa02@outlook.com. We don't ask for a form or a reason.

If you received a gift and would rather it did not exist, write to us. We do not need the buyer's permission to delete your photographs.
